Sounds similar to what they do now - giving teenagers hysterectomies and double mastectomies to affirm their gender and prevent suicide.

The lobotomobile!? Another case of truth stranger than fiction. Thank you for your efforts in keeping the facts in the light of day and advocating for those whose voices are muted.

Thank you for this - very informative , I didn't know the history behind psychosurgery.

Evil in a 'quick few wriggles'

"Er, did anybody ask whether it was the mental hospitals that were actually doing the damage, that treatment in those places was worse than the disease? No, they didn't, even though the idea that physicians can be a health hazard goes back to Greek times."

What I witnessed and experienced just less than 5 years ago was horrific human rights abuse and torture which led to a number of patients - once out of the two locks door of their closed culture of normalised abuse - killing themselves either by jumping off a bridge or running onto traffic on a motoway. The CQC who are suppose to oversee these Health Trust' organisations gave them a "good" rating.
