I’ve started reading “Is Psychiatry a crime against humanity?" by Peter C. Gotzsche. He mentions you.

Curious ideas he has. Psychiatry should be abolished but , he believes that will never happen. Psychologists (and social workers) should be in charge of Psychiatry, because psychiatrists are “too dangerous” for the patients.

He knows psychiatric drugs better than anybody.

"A Brief History of Everything" by Ken Wilber, Integral Theory. Yes, Ken is oh so Human. Yet Integral Theory provides an all inclusive map of the evolution of Human consciousness. Until there is a "critical mass" to evolve beyond Primate DOMINANCE Hierarchy, civilization after civilization after civilization after... we'll keep getting what we get except now we have the technology to extinguish our species. Organize as baboons, live as baboons. My own life experience has shown that those who follow a vocation into the mental health field are the most in need of mental health in their own lives, myself included, mea culpa. One molecule just off to the left or right, up or down, can very quickly place you in Heaven or Hell. Physical material "medicine" is a piece of the puzzle not the whole puzzle itself.

I see the DSM6 is in the pipeline and they are changing the S in DSM to Scientific instead of Statistical. This is an about face from DSM3 which threw out theory so could not claim to be scientific. But they say the new DSM will be Scientific because it will incorporate all the amazing new discoveries in neuroscience and genetics. They must be keeping those discoveries under wraps, I have not read of them, have you?

No, but Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always to be blest (Pope). Their capacity to remain convinced they're on the right path has long crossed from inspirational to delusional.

Tribes are not always 'bad', for the 1/3rd of the population that only helps those within the 'social boundaries', it motivates them to take care of otherwise strangers.

Agreed, they can be agents of social support but can easily become agents of social repression. I'm sure you're familiar with the idea of cults, that's simply tribalism taken to extreme.

Somehow I belong to your tribe.
