That is an excellent analysis. You urge us to action, but what can we do? I vote, I write letters to politicians, I join demonstrations, I donate to activist groups, but the slide is inexorably towards the very disaster you have described.

Neoliberalism is false, it's had its day so we need to tell people where it came from and where it's heading, scaring them so that they know what powers militarism, corporate greed, debased politicians and so on. Essentially we need a moderate's version of the Powell Memo, except it will be based in facts and not kept secret, needs all the publicity it can get.

How to actually deal with this, its clear we have to do something. Also here in Europe, but how. They use our money against us.

Absolutely true. As soon as the wealthy have your money, they then use it to make sure you can't get it back, or stop them getting more. This is what neoliberalism is, this is what it does.

The presentation of law cases beginning in the 1970's increased my understanding of our current environment. The Powell Memorandum is crucial to understand the influence of think tanks and accumulation of extraordinary wealth of the !%. Thank you for easy referencing throughout your writing.

But I have not yet found anyone who knows what to do about the imbalance of wealth. A very difficult question.

The sort of grotesque inequality we see today is a political decision. We need politicians who are not bought or swayed by wealth, and in order to get them, we have to convince people that the neoliberal campaign is built on a false view of human psychology. Essentially, we have to convince an entire profession and their hangers-on that they've got it completely wrong, countering their propaganda with facts.

They are all supported by piggybanks that are fed by lobby money.
